The Community House in Ry is a building complex of 72 nursing homes located in 4 independent housing units with associated service and communal facilities.
The Community House is a 24-hour institution that caters to citizens with lasting and significantly impaired cognitive, motor and social functioning, including a high proportion of dementia.
The central common facilities, including production kitchens, activity and training facilities, administration, health clinic and multi-room, are organized in the middle of the building site in a 2 story building volume, the common house. Centrally located in the building is the common square, the “heart”, which, with its openness and organization of all common functions in direct connection, naturally invites residents and the citizens of the city.
