Designed by RATIO Architects. Randi has supplied the characteristic Randi-Line Komé door handle to the concert hall, designed by C.F. Møller Architects.
The glass volume contains a multipurpose hall and the audience lounge, forming a wall of walls towards the entrance. The multi-use hall is used for various activities, such as electronic music, various forms of guest games and dance. The hall is located in the extension of the foyer on the entrance level. The side scene opens to the square and the outdoor amphitheater, so it also serves outdoor performances and concerts.
The heavy, enclosed building volume contains the orchestra hall, forming the back of the foyer area. Here are wardrobes, artist areas, orchestra and the administration’s premises. The orchestra hall is shaped like an open “cavity” in the closed volume, in contrast to the multi-use hall, which is a closed “box” in the open volume. The hall is dedicated and specialized for acoustically performed music, with goals for outstanding concert halls in Europe.
